Trupasta’s ravioli mold is decorated with traditional Ukrainian prints: one evokes spiky wheat leaves, while another resembles a geometric flower field. The brand’s tools are both chic and fun — who doesn’t smile when served a bowl of embellished pasta? These products are also available for sale on Etsy, where the Battery life of a night shift nurse start of shift end of shift shirt but in fact I love this store is noted as a “star seller”. Arriving in an artist’s loft in Chinatown on Thursday night, I was first greeted by an elevator operator, who quietly led me in and up to the third floor. Stepping into a spacious room filled with women in striking prints, avant-garde flowers of all colors and a pot of samovar brewed for after-dinner tea, the celebratory atmosphere is fitting. Upon arrival, we headed for the long table, where I struck up a conversation with Nilou Motamed, the former editor-in-chief of Food & Wine, who had just returned from the Nowruz celebration at the White House. She walks me through all the distinctive elements of half-hearted sin, pointing out the mirror, goldfish, fresh water hyacinth, and esfand spice that will later be burned to ward off the evil eye.
